Gavin Ireland FISTC

A Brief Career History

The Principle Author/Designer and Director of iHelp, Gavin has a wide range of experience and knowledge, which he can bring to your product and/or service.

10 years service in the British Army as a Non-Commissioned Officer and Team Leader - Aircraft Engineer, gave Gavin the necessary skills in Leadership, Resource and Time Management and Discipline to run a successful business and manage documentation projects.

Whilst leaving the British Army, Gavin trained at Chippenham Technical College under John Young to develop Technical Authoring skills and begin C&G qualifications.

His varied contracts since then have allowed him to develop writing and design skills that are relevant to all industries, thereby giving him the flexibility to work on any and all documentation projects.

For five years, Gavin served as the President of the ISTC (Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators); During this time under Gavin's guidance, the council turned the Institute into a financial success and launched many new and exciting projects.
